Land Fitness / Group Exercise classes are offered continuously throughout the year with only a break for pool closure and Christmas holiday. Each class runs for 8 weeks long, unless stated otherwise.
The ancient art of yoga is known to increase flexibility, improve endurance and reduce stress. Guided poses and a focus on controlled, mindful breathing will help people of all exercise levels find balance. Find yourself renewed and revitalized after each and every class. Two different classes are offered on different days and times to best fit our member’s schedule.

Les Mills BodyFlow
BodyFlow is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Each class is made up of 45 minutes of simple but challenging exercises. This is followed by 10 minutes of relaxation and meditation.
Tuesday + Thursday: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, located in our main level fitness room
Wednesday + Friday: 10:15 am – 11:00 am, located in our upstairs fitness room

Come have fun as you sweat, tone, tuck, and tighten! A combination of weights, step aerobics, balance techniques and much more will target problem areas.

Les Mills BodyPump
This class is designed to improve strength and endurance in major muscle groups and ultimately burn calories. Join us as we strengthen, shape, and tone muscles and improve general fitness levels. This is a high intensity class!
Monday + Wednesday: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, located in our basement fitness room
Thursday: 6:00 pm – 7 pm, located in our basement fitness room
Saturday: 8:15 am – 9:15 am, located in our basement fitness room

This is a moderate to high intensity class that is tailored to everything your body needs; cardio and toning! Step, turbo, kick, aerobics, and floor work will be used. We will also do combinations with the ball, hand weights, and your own body weight.
Monday + Wednesday: 4:30 pm – 5:15 pm, located in our main level fitness room
Non-Members: $48 / session
A basic exercise class focusing on all major muscle groups. Participants work at their own pace and ability level.

The Christian County YMCA is a proud participant of the Healthways Silver Sneaker Program! This comprehensive fitness program addresses the needs of Medicare (65+) population. Silver Sneaker members of a sponsoring health plan receive a basic membership that includes the opportunity to participate in the Silver Sneakers group exercise class.
This class moves the body through a series of standing and seated poses increasing core strength in order to perform a variety of postures, increase flexibility, improve balance & increase range of motion. This class welcomes all skill levels! Breathing exercises will also be introduced to promote relaxation and mental clarity.

WERQ I + II
Check out this wildly addictive cardio dance class based on pop and hip-hop music! The workout is non-stop with repetitive athletic moves and fresh dance steps. Have fun while you sweat! Members and non-members alike are invited to check out this class. You’ll want to wear comfortable shoes!
