{"id":5872,"date":"2025-03-07T21:34:39","date_gmt":"2025-03-07T21:34:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ccymca.org\/home\/?page_id=5872"},"modified":"2025-03-07T21:34:39","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T21:34:39","slug":"parent-handbook","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ccymca.org\/home\/parent-handbook\/","title":{"rendered":"Parent Handbook"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><b>CHRISTIAN COUNTY YMCA DAY CAMP<\/b><\/h3>\n<h4>Parent Handbook<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Christian County YMCA is a non-profit organization serving Christian County. \u00a0 We offer programming for all ages.\u00a0 It is our goal to ensure that no one is denied services due to an inability to pay.\u00a0 We offer a wide range of services from parent\/child swim lessons, group exercise classes, youth and adult sports, childcare services, as well as a full-service workout facility.\u00a0 We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, religion or gender in our programs or employment practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the core of our programming and services is our mission: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cTo put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>PROGRAM GOALS<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The goal of our CCYMCA program is to help participants grow spiritually, physically and mentally. The program also strives to provide challenging activities in both small and large group settings under the guidance of caring, well-trained staff members and gives children an experience that lasts a lifetime!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At CCYMCA, you can expect your child to receive:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quality care<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Encouragement to develop to their fullest potential<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fun games and activities daily<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A safe and positive learning environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Character development<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>DAILY ACTIVITIES<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children participate in a variety of activities during camp including art projects, swimming, indoor and outdoor games, time on the playground, quiet\/reading time, movie and popcorn day and many more.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drop Off<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6:00-9:00 a.m. (May be modified to reflect participants needs)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parents must walk child into building and sign attendance sheet<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pick Up<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3:30-6:00 p.m. (May be modified to reflect participants needs)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parents can pick up in either the Classroom or the playground area (weather permitting)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>HOURS OF OPERATION<\/b><b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6:00 am &#8211; 6:00 pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>PERSONAL BELONGINGS<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember to label all items brought to the program.\u00a0 Encourage your child to be responsible for personal belongings. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We suggest leaving all personal items at home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following is a list of items NOT to be brought to the program:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Electronics (including hand held games and phones)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knives<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any Type of Weapons<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phones will be placed into the phone holder area for safe keeping.\u00a0 They are returned to the children when they leave for the day or if they wish to contact parents.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>If these items are brought to the program, they may be confiscated and returned to the parent at the end of the day and disciplinary action may be taken.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>MEALS AND SNACKS<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children must bring two snacks and a lunch daily. If the snacks or meals need to be kept cold, cold packs must be brought from home as refrigeration may not always be available.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Water bottles are necessary. They will be able to refill these throughout the day.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Campers will wash hands before and after eating.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>CLEANING AND SANITIZING<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Surfaces and Supplies will be sanitized regularly throughout the day and again at the end of each day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>HANDWASHING \u2013 A HEALTHY CENTER<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children and staff will also be washing their hands before and after eating, after large motor and\/or outside activities, before and after cooking projects, after handling a pet, after using the bathroom and after wiping or blowing his or her nose.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>PROGRAM RULES<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follow directions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep hands and feet to yourself.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stay in assigned areas with a staff person at all times.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Walk and talk quietly when inside<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respect staff, others and their property.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use good manners at all times using appropriate language and\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">actions.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Violent games, toys and play are not allowed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Honesty is always the best policy.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>GENERAL CHILD CARE SAFETY<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No child may leave the camp without an authorized adult who will sign the child out while recording the departure time.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children must remain in the presence of childcare staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Permission must be given by the childcare staff to leave the immediate group.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No fighting, hitting, pinching, biting, kicking, spitting or any other physical harm to others will be tolerated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Theft and foul language will not be tolerated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children and parents will be asked to follow YMCA Youth Development program rules.\u00a0 All property of the Y and childcare program will be respected.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The group will clean up all food, garbage and activity messes with staff supervision before going to another activity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No food, other than the child\u2019s two snacks will be allowed.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gum is not allowed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All clothing, book bags, lunch boxes, etc. should be clearly marked with the child\u2019s name.\u00a0 The staff will not be responsible for personal items lost, stolen or broken.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parents are responsible for the discipline of their child only.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respect for others is required at all times.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>POLICY OF INCLUSION<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The YMCA fully embraces the Americans with Disabilities Act and would like all special needs children to feel welcome in YMCA programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To the extent it is reasonably possible, and within the limitation of not-for-profits provided in the ADA, YMCA Youth Development programs will provide services to children with disabilities, or any special needs child, in the same manner as services are provided for other children of comparable age.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">YMCA Youth Development Programs are group centered programs; they do not provide one-on-one care, except on an intermittent basis, such as for injuries, immediate disciplinary issues and certain personal care needs customarily provided to all children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a YMCA staff member determines that a special needs child requires individual one-on-one attention, the YMCA shall immediately discuss this issue with the child\u2019s parents.\u00a0 Parents shall be reminded of the above policy.\u00a0 Together, the YMCA and parents shall attempt to work out a solution or refer the child to a more suitable program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>DISCIPLINE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the Christian County YMCA, we believe that discipline is an essential part of creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all children in our programs. Our approach to discipline is rooted in the following principles:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Guidance with Clear Limits<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: We guide children by setting clear and consistent limits for acceptable behavior.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Mistakes as Learning Opportunities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: We view mistakes as valuable opportunities for children to learn and grow.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Promoting Acceptable Behavior<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: We help children understand and practice acceptable behavior.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Active Listening<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: We listen attentively when children express their feelings and frustrations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Conflict Resolution<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: We guide children in resolving conflicts and model problem-solving skills to support their social and emotional development.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Corporal punishment or abusive language of any kind is strictly prohibited in all Christian County YMCA programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our discipline policy is designed to promote self-discipline and acceptable behavior while being mindful of each child\u2019s individual needs and developmental stage. Positive reinforcement is the cornerstone of our approach. However, when unacceptable behavior occurs, the following steps will be taken:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Discipline Procedures<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Timeouts: Used to help children regain control in response to minor offenses. These will be documented on a Timeout Sheet, which will be shared with parents.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conduct Reports: Issued for major offenses or when a pattern of minor offenses persists.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a child receives 5 Timeout Sheets, a Conduct Report will be issued.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consequences for Conduct Reports:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 Conduct Report: 1-day suspension from the program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 Conduct Reports: 3-day suspension from the program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 Conduct Reports: Suspension from the program until the end of the session.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After each offense, parents will be promptly contacted to discuss the incident and next steps. In cases where behavior issues persist, parents and the counselor(s) will collaborate to address the situation and create a plan for improvement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Christian County YMCA is committed to fostering a positive and nurturing environment where children can thrive. Thank you for partnering with us to support the growth and well-being of all children in our care.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In extreme cases, the Program Director may determine that a child\u2019s continued participation in the program is not feasible due to behavioral concerns. Expulsion from the program is for one calendar year. There will be no refund of program fees. The Christian County YMCA and its staff have the right to expel any child based on behavior for safety reasons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>INTERNET AND SOCIAL NETWORKING<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We strongly discourage any outside communication between staff and children and child-to-child without parent permission. We communicate to our staff that they need to continue to follow our mission and core values in the YMCA Youth Development including the use of the internet and on social networking websites.\u00a0 Please monitor your children\u2019s technology use and communication for their safety and well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>RESTRICTED PARENT INFORMATION<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the event of a court-ordered legal custody situation whereby either parent of the enrolled child has visitation restrictions; we must have in the child\u2019s file a written and dated statement along with a stamped copy of your legal custody papers that have been signed and dated by a judge. We must follow the law when it comes to restricting a parent\u2019s rights to information and access to their child.\u00a0 Unless we have court-ordered legal papers on file, parents will not be restricted.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the event of a court-ordered legal custody situation whereby a parent is not allowed to pick up the child without the other\u2019s consent, we ask that you state in writing that you have legal custody and the person (name and relationship) who does not have a legal right to pick up your child while in our care.\u00a0 The written and dated statement must be on file with the YMCA along with a stamped copy of your legal custody papers, which have been signed by a judge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>CHILD ABUSE REPORTING<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please be aware that the Child Protection Law mandates the YMCA to report to DCFS any \u201csuspected\u201d case of child abuse or neglect.\u00a0 If a \u201csuspected\u201d case of abuse does occur and the offender is thought to be a parent, a report will be made to DCFS.\u00a0 When there is \u201csuspected\u201d abuse and the offender is thought to be someone other than a parent, staff will also consult with the parents of the child.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the event of an emergency, our number one priority will be to ensure the safety and security of all program participants.\u00a0 As time permits, we will make every effort to inform parents and\/or guardians of all pertinent information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>INJURIES AND ACCIDENTS<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your child is injured at camp, the staff will take necessary steps to obtain emergency medical care.\u00a0 These steps may include, but are not limited to the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attempts to contact parent\/guardian<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attempts to contact the parent\/guardian through persons listed on the emergency information record.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If parental\/guardian contact is not made, we will do any or all of the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Call an ambulance or fire rescue<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Administer CPR, band-aids or ice packs if needed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An accident report will be completed by the YMCA staff and filed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>BATHROOM ACCIDENTS AND WITHHOLDING OF FOOD<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children will not be disciplined for bathroom accidents while in our care and the use of the bathroom will not be used as a form of punishment. Children prone to accidents should bring a change of clothes. Children must be fully potty trained and able to take care of their own bathroom needs before they can register for the program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The withholding of food or treats will not be used as a form of discipline. However, if a child is using inappropriate behavior, they will be moved to a table away from the group.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>HEALTH AND ILLNESS<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Sick Child Policy<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Isolation- Child will be put in room separate from others and attended by Day Camp staff until parent arrives.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>IMPORTANT<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A sick child is to be kept at home, for his or her own sake and that of others.\u00a0 Many communicable diseases begin with cold-like symptoms.\u00a0 A child is considered ill when he\/she has the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An elevated temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vomiting<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An unidentified rash or a contagious rash<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diarrhea<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Weepy and red eyes (could be conjunctivitis (pink eye) which is very contagious)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A communicable disease<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any evidence of head lice<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Excessive cough and\/or nasal discharge<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mouth sores<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any other symptoms that prevent your child from participating in the day\u2019s activities<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The YMCA Youth Development Director and\/or Counselor should be informed about the nature of any illness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a child becomes ill while in our care, a staff member will contact the parents and request that the child is picked up. Parents need to come immediately. Until the sick child is picked up, the child will be isolated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>MEDICATION POLICY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Non-prescription medicines will be only given out with a note from the parent.\u00a0 Only prescription medicine in original bottles will be given at a YMCA program.\u00a0 Prescription medicines must include the child\u2019s name, prescription number, doctor\u2019s name, administration quantity and time. Parents must give all medications directly to the Coordinator\/Counselors and fill out a medicine consent form. At this time, the medicine will be locked up out of the reach of the children. At no time are children permitted to be in possession of medicines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>INCLEMENT WEATHER<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If weather becomes bad during the program, staff will call parents to arrange early pick-up, if possible. The childcare staff should be informed of resolution strategies arranged between the parents and school for smooth implementation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Involvement of parents in the program is essential and strongly encouraged, along with cooperation of all policies and procedures.
