These classes are offered continuously throughout the year with only a break for pool closure and Christmas holiday.

 

Spring Session – Monday, April 30th, through Sunday, June 24th.

Les Mills BodyFlow


BodyFlow is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Each class is made up of 45 minutes of simple but challenging exercises. This is followed by 10 minutes of relaxation and meditation.

When

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday’s & Friday’s, 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

This class is designed to improve strength and endurance in major muscle groups and ultimately burn calories. Join us as we strengthen, shape, and tone muscles and improve general fitness levels. This is a high intensity class!

BodyPump II – Tuesday’s, 9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. (Beginning June 5th)

Body Conditioning


This is a moderate to high intensity class that is tailored to everything your body needs; cardio and toning! Step, turbo, kick, aerobics, and floor work will be used. We will also do combinations with the ball, hand weights, and your own body weight.

Monday’s & Wednesday’s, 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.

Beginning June 5th, this class will switch to Tuesday’s and Thursday’s evenings, 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.

Silver Sneakers


The Christian County YMCA is a proud participant of the Health ways Silver Sneaker Program! This comprehensive fitness program addresses the needs of Medicare (65+) population. Silver Sneaker members of a sponsoring health plan receive a basic membership that includes the opportunity to participate in the Silver Sneakers group exercise class.

Reflex


This class will move your entire body through a series of seated and standing poses to safely perform a variety of postures, to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. This class is for sedentary and active individuals of all skill levels. Restorative breathing exercises and relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Women on Weights


Don’t want to go to the gym alone? Not sure where to begin? W.O.W. with Legna Velasquez, will teach you how to incorporate free weights into your workout. Women on Weights is a women’s only weight training program created to teach women how to feel comfortable and confident in the gym while having fun. This class will be focusing on increasing muscular strength and endurance while educating women on various training methods. The class will integrate free weight, kettle bells, body weight, and ropes to create a stronger and better you! The program accommodates a wide range of participants. If you want the feeling of a personal trainer in a group setting and you want to push yourself; this is the class for you!

When

Tuesday’s & Thursday’s, 4:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Beginning June 4th, this class will be on Monday & Wednesday evenings, from 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.

Yoga


This class is multi-style yoga for beginners as well as advanced participants. Instructor will oversee movements and correct if necessary. Please bring a minimum 16 oz. water bottle, wear close fitting clothing, bring a towel and you may bring your own yoga mat or use one of the mats at the Y.

This is a members only class.

Yoga I – Monday’s & Wednesday’s, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
