Member Services Staff
Be the ‘face’ of the Christian County YMCA by providing high-quality customer service for members and guests of the YMCA. Congenial, warm, and positive attitude. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Willingness to bend over backwards to assist our members and guests. Ability or willingness to learn computer and/or data entry skills. Please visit our location to complete and turn in applications.
Referees will be expected to referee youth games, keeping youth safe and the games under control. This position also requires referees to act professionally and to serve as role models for the participants. Referees are required to wear referee jerseys when working a game. This position also requires that referees communicate with adult coaches to ensure games start in a timely manner. All employees of the YMCA, including referees, are expected to uphold the four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Lifeguards + Swim Instructors
The Christian County YMCA is currently taking applications for Lifeguards and Swim Instructors. We are hosting a Red Cross Lifeguard Training Class on January 2nd – 4th, 2019, and online registration for this training + class is still available.
To be considered as a Lifeguard, one must have; 1.) American Red Cross Lifeguard, Waterfront Lifeguard, or Waterpark Lifeguard, First Aid + CPR-AED for Lifeguards/Professional Rescuer. 2.) YMCA Lifeguard with either American Red Cross CPR-AED for Lifeguards/Professional Rescuer, First Aid + Oxygen Administration or American Heart Lifeguard CPR-AED , First Aid + Oxygen Administration.
To be considered a Swim Instructor, one must have; 1.) YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor, 2.) American Red Cross Water Safety Assistant, & 3.) Experience without certification. Certification is NOT a requirement for the position, but preferred.
