A very effective exercise class concentrating on stretching activities designed for major muscle groups.  Participants work at own pace and level.  A fine social program too!  This class is held in the Fitness Room.  Instructor:  Marion Guggenheim

If you are ready to take your commitment to the next level, make an appointment with our certified personal trainer, Ricki Castellanos.  Ricki is certified through the American Council on Exercise.  This service is for members of the Christian County YMCA.  Full payment is due at the front desk prior to the first appointment.  Couples pricing is also available.

Pilates

YMCA Running Club

If running is your pleasure, gather at the Y.  Running enthusiasts will share ideas, workouts, and fellowship.  Running will be at your own pace.  Group will meet daily, Monday through Thursday.  Beginning Monday, June 4th at 6:00 a.m. at the front desk.  Workout will vary based on day of the week.

Tae Kwon Do

A great activity to do with your family!  Harold Gist and Lisa Abernathy teach this class under the tutelage of Grandmaster Thomas E. Perry.  Tae Kwon Do aims to achieve the following tenets:  courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit. 

 

Monday:           6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Note:  Beginning June 23rd, class will be held from 6:45 – 8:15 p.m.

Triple Circuit

A combination of step aerobics, cardio kickboxing and small hand weights provide for a complete workout.  Class will build cardiovascular endurance, tone muscles and burn calories.  Great music and fun change of pace makes this class a winner!  The last fifteen minutes are geared for abdominal and bottom exercises.  Instructor:  Gay Wilhour

YMCA Walking Program

Enjoy the comfort of walking indoors at the YMCA anytime the facility is open.  This program is open to anyone 18 years of age and older.  Participants will have access to either the Wellness Center track or the Gymnasium track.  Participants will also have access to the restrooms.

 

Rate:                $25/person per session, or

                        $35 husband and wife per session

Remember…a FREE Wellness Center consultation is included with your membership!  Our staff will walk you through the basics of setting up a personal fitness regimen that includes cardio-respiratory and resistance training.  They will also instruct you on the use of the various types of machines and equipment in the Wellness Center.  Contact the front desk to set up your appointment today!
