*In addition, on days when school is not in session,

If you have a question regarding lap pool
availability, please call the Aquatic Office at 287-7271. The Family Aquatic
Center opens ½ hour
after the opening of the rest of the facility and closes ½ hour prior to
the closing of the YMCA. See Hours
of Operation for more information regarding opening and closing times for
the rest of the YMCA facility.

These are ongoing programs to document and give
recognition for members’ accrued mileage. A Swim Achievement Board is mounted on
the wall in the pool area. This
board displays members’ accumulated distance swim and aquawalk
miles in increments as follows:
250, 500, 1000 and 2000 miles.
When a member achieves 2000 miles, a permanent name plate will be
issued to install on the YMCA Distance Swim Club or Aquawalk Honors
plaque and will include miles and the time period for mileage to
accrue. Members interested in the
program should pick up a flyer at the front desk, inquire with a
lifeguard, or contact us via email.

Aqua Physical Therapy
The YMCA has teamed up with St. Vincent Memorial
Hospital Rehabilitation Services to offer physical therapy services in
the pool. The staff at Memorial
continues their high quality standard of health care services by
providing one on one attention to help you get back to 100%
functionality. For more
information on how you can benefit from these services, please contact
SVMH Rehabilitation Services.

Rehabilitation Membership Program
One of the major goals of the YMCA is to enhance and
improve the health style of people of all ages. One objective of this goal is to
provide anyone, of any age, a one-month free membership after they have
been released from their physician’s care, for any of the following
conditions: cardiac and/or
respiratory surgery, major surgery of any kind, or recovery from major accident
or illness or medical complications.
The process is simple!
- Have
your primary physician/doctor sign this form stating that you have
been released from any rehab program and you would benefit from this
opportunity.
- Bring
this signed form to the YMCA Front Desk and fill out a
rehabilitative one-month membership form for yourself. (This is not a Family Membership.)
- Ask
your doctor of any restrictions or limitations you need to be aware
of and share with the YMCA staff before you begin your rehab program.
- Begin
your one-month membership!
