 Y Martial Arts

 

Martial Arts Combo

Age 14 and up

Males only

This is a mixed martial arts based self defense sestem, combining stand up kick boxing, striking with submission grappling.  A great system for a first time practioner of martial arts or as a compliment to any current practicing martial artist.

Thursdays 6-7:30 p.m.

Rate:  $80/ 7 week session

Y member: $40/7 week session

Cardio Kick/ Self Defense

Age 14 and up

Females only

Get ready to workout and learn how to defend yourself.  Pads and shields are used for punching and kicking.  This provides a great cardio workout.  The seconds half of the class, students will learn self defense.  Wear loose comfortable clothing and be ready to work!  

Tuesdays 6-7:30p.m.

Rate:  $80/7 week session

This class is designed to improve strength and endurance in major muscle groups and ultimately burn calories. Join us as we strengthen, shape and tone muscles and improve general fitness levels.     A high intensity class!

This is a moderate to high intensity class that is tailored to
everything your body needs ... cardio and toning. Step, turbo
kick, aerobics, and floor work will be used, combined with the
ball, hand weights and your own body weight.

The Christian County YMCA is a proud participant of the
Healthways Silver Sneaker Program! This comprehensive fitness
program addresses the needs of the Medicare (65+) population.
Silver Sneaker members of a sponsoring health plan
receive a basic membership that included the opportunity to
participate in the Silver Sneakers group exercise class.

Zumba Gold – T/TH (5:45 – 6:45 p.m.)
 
 
Come join us for Zumba Gold, a series of fitness programs specifically
designed to take the exciting Latin and International dance
rhythms created in the original Zumba and bring them to the
active older adult, the beginner participant, and other special populations
that may need modifications for success. Created to
emphasize the basics, this explosive program is so easy to follow
that everyone any age can do it!† This program is guaranteed to
provide the participant with a safe and effective total body workout.
Zumba Gold creates a party like atmosphere. It’s fun, different,
easty and effective. It’s great for the mind, body and soul.
