 Youth Swim Lessons

 

Youth Swim Lessons (PreK-5th grade):

Winter 1: January 2nd -February 19th

Winter 2: February 20th - April 8th

This is a program designed to teach your child swimming
and water skills while developing his or her physical, mental
and spiritual well-being. These classes are offered to children
age six and up. There are seven levels, each preparing
the child for the next level. Basic skills are reinforced in
each level, with stroke refinement and endurance emphasized
as skills improve.

Times:

Pre-School Age (3-4yoa)

 Tuesday 4:30-5:15pm/Thursday 5:15-6pm

Youth (Kindergarten-5th grade)

Tuesday-5:15-6pm/Thursday 4:30-5:15pm

 YMCA Swim Team

 
CCYMCA PREDATORS

This program will continue to nurture existing competitive swimmers
in addition to recruiting swimmers not already involved in
competitive swimming. All participants are required to be members
of the Christian County YMCA. Participants should be able
to swim 25 yards, freestyle, breast stroke or back stroke, without
holding onto the lap lanes or wall.
September-March
Practice Times:
M/T/W/TH/F – 4:00-5:00PM for 10 and under and new members  
M/T/W/TH/F – 5:00 - 6:00pm for 11 and up
Rate $210/One time fee
Must be a YMCA Member
 
 No Registrations will be taken after Dec. 1st

 Private Lessons/Parent-Child Classes

are available upon request.
Rate: $45 (30 minutes), Y-member: $15 (30 minutes)
 
 
  PARENT/CHILD SWIM Lessons
Parent or guardian is present in the water with the child. The
goal of this program is for the child to become acclimated
to the water and have fun.

Aquatic Arthritis Program 
 
In cooperation with the Arthritis Foundation, trained instructors
lead this program which provides an opportunity for people with
or without arthritis to participate in safe, enjoyable exercise.
(T/TH/F 8:30 – 9:15 a.m.)

 Distance Swim & Aqua Walk

 
This is an ongoing program that gives recognition for a member’s
accumulated swim mileage swam in the lap pool and/or walked
around our River Walk. A Swim Achievement Board displays
members who have achieved 250 miles and up.

 Hydro Fit

HYDRO FIT
Resistance training in the water! Build muscle and bone mass
by using the water’s natural resistance properties along with
various aquatic equipment. A serious workout!
(T/TH 9:15 –10:00 a.m. & 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.)

The Aqua Zumba program gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout.  Splashing, stretching, twisting, shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class!  This class blends it all together in a safe, challenging, water based workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief!

Create balance in the body through strength and flexibility with
this program that combines the attributes of yoga with the environment
of water.
